Key Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst Consultant in Trade Finance, your duties will include:

  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document comprehensive user and system requirements, ensuring alignment with business and operational goals.
  • Gap Analysis & Process Optimization: Conduct detailed “As-Is” vs. “To-Be” analysis to identify gaps in processes, and recommend practical and innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency.
  • Domain Expertise: Leverage your expertise in Trade Finance operations (e.g., Letters of Credit, Export/Import Bills, Commodity Trades) to provide tailored insights and solutions to clients.
  • Solution Design & Implementation: Collaborate with business stakeholders to design functional solutions, define user workflows, and document functional specifications. Ensure the solutions are scalable and aligned with IT architecture, security standards, and operational procedures.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between clients, project teams, and other stakeholders, facilitating discussions, securing sign-offs, and ensuring transparency in all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Define and execute the testing strategy, including SIT/UAT/NRT phases, ensuring robust testing practices, and guiding teams to create test scenarios. Oversee user testing efforts and provide training to end-users for solution readiness.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Produce comprehensive documentation on ETL processes, testing procedures, and system designs to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and collaboration among teams.
  • Release & Transition Management: Coordinate release planning for both local and international deployments, ensuring alignment with operational and integration requirements. Provide ongoing support during the transition to the operations teams.
  • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with Braindge’s policies, industry standards, and best practices.

 

Basic Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should meet the following qualifications and skills:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and technical design, ideally within the banking or financial services industry (trade finance experience is highly desirable).
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of Trade Finance operations (Letters of Credit, Export/Import Bills, Commodity Trades, etc.) and a proven ability to translate business needs into actionable solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and systems integration.
  • System Expertise: Experience working with banking systems or transaction-based platforms is a strong advantage.
  • Documentation & Testing: Excellent ability to create comprehensive technical documentation, including functional specifications, testing strategies, and user guides.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on creating conceptual solutions that address complex business challenges.
  • Communication: Proficiency in both Korean and English (written and spoken) is essential. Knowledge of Japanese is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with multinational teams and stakeholders.
  • Education: A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is advantageous.

    • UAT issue management (managing tickets) and tracking till solving them

  • Plan and promote user task in MIGRATION.
    • Planning of migration schedule and control of migration related tasks such as data mapping, data cleansing, etc.
    • Conduct a migration rehearsal and list up issues and consider how to handle them
    • Monitor the progress of migration and manage issues, working closely with IT and business user members.
    • Regular reporting to Cross Functional PMO and Area PM
  • Plan and promote user tasks for EUC/RPA/Tools.
    • Planning and Leading User owned EUC/RPA/Tools as an User Task PMO
    • Planning of whole schedule such as Pre-Study/Design/CD/UT/IT/ST/UAT both of existing and new development EUC/RPA/Tools.
    • Monitor the progress of the user task and manage issues, working closely with IT and business user members.
    • Lead development team such as giving instruction, resource management, issue solving.
    • Regular reporting to Cross Functional PMO and Area PM
  • Plan and promote user tasks in USER SUPPORT.
    • Developing plan of assigned user tasks in the following areas: UAT, Training, Business Rehearsal, Migration, Customer Relation, BCP Creation, Regulation/Procedure Revision
    • Progress management of assigned user tasks
    • Issue management of assigned user tasks (including other roles (e.g. manage issues raised by developers))
    • Regular reporting to Cross Functional PMO and Area PM
  • Any other duties related to this role.

 

Basic Requirements:

  • User Task (UAT)
    • Experience in planning UAT such as creating UAT plans, developing UAT schedule, bridging communication among multiple stakeholders, etc.
    • Experience in executing UAT such as monitoring progress, UAT issue solving, test result validation, etc.
    • Experience in core banking system projects including accounting system from user side
    • Business knowledge in Trade area

  • User Task (Migration)

    • Development of migration tools (Migration data creation using Access, etc.), any other new tools in order to adapt with new operation processes
    • Modify existing systems and implement new functionalities as required.
  • Reporting
    • Report issues related to the development and progress of daily activities to User owned EUC/RPA/Tools PIC
